Honda Activa QC1 Electric Scooter Battery & Motor

Battery:

If we talk about battery capacity, then in the Honda Activa QC1 you have been provided with a 1.5 kWh fixed NMC Li-ion battery, which you cannot remove. It would have been great if Honda had used a 2.5 kWh LFP battery instead of a 1.5 kWh battery. To charge this battery, a 330W charger is available, which takes 4 hr 30 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 80% and takes 6 hr 40 min to charge the battery from 0 to 100%.

Range:

If we talk about the range (mileage), then the Honda Activa QC1 electric scooter claims an IDC range of just 80 km in Eco mode on a single full charge, but if we talk about the real range, then you can get a range of 63 km+* in Eco mode. You may get even less range in Standard mode, but still the real range depends on the load and in which mode you are riding it and whether one person is driving the scooter or another person is riding behind you; it depends on how much range the Honda Activa QC1 will give you.

Price:

If we talk about the price, then you can get the Activa QC1 electric scooter at ₹ 89,999* X-Showroom price because Honda has not revealed the price yet. If Honda keeps the price of this electric scooter high, then the Honda Activa QC1 electric scooter will not be successful in India; booking of this electric scooter will start from January 1, 2025.

Warranty:

If we talk about warranty, on the Honda Activa QC1 electric scooter, you get a total warranty of 5 years or 50,000 km on the motor and the vehicle, and you get a warranty of 5 years or 50,000 km on the battery, which you can extend by 2 more years to 7 years.

Opinion:

Honda’s Activa QC1 is a good electric scooter. You get all the necessary features in this electric scooter, but there are some shortcomings in this electric scooter. Honda has given only a 1.5 kWh non-removable battery in this electric scooter, which is less. Due to the low battery capacity, Honda has used an efficient BLDC motor, due to which you get less speed and you can also see power lag. You do not even get disc brakes; if Honda sells this electric scooter at a high price, then it would be wrong to buy this electric scooter.

Honda Activa e: Because of the swappable battery of the electric scooter, Honda battery swap stations will be available only in metro cities. Since then everyone’s eyes were only on the Honda Activa QC1, but this electric scooter has a low-capacity battery, due to which the IDC range of this electric scooter is only 80 km; the real range you get is even less, due to which, instead of the Activa QC1, customers would prefer to buy other electric scooters with better range, like the ABZO Sigilo, Acer MUVI 125, and BG C12i MAX EX.
